Peptide promotes overcoming of the division limit in human somatic cell
Key finding
Epithalon (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) induced telomerase activity and ~2.4x telomere elongation in human somatic (fetal fibroblast) cells, extending divisions by ~42.5% — evidence of overcoming the Hayflick limit in vitro.
Method / model
Human fetal fibroblast cell culture.
Relevance
Core in-vitro support for Epithalon telomere claims (note: human cell line, not in-vivo).
